I got a urine sample at 7.45 in the morning and got it tested around 10 the same morning for pregnancy. The sample was stored in quite a clean bottle. The test came out negative. I want to know if that can be relied upon cuz I’ve heard hormones disintegrate if not stored under a particular pH and temperature. So how will I know for sure if the test was truly negative or if the hormones disintegrated by then?
Plz don’t say take another pregnancy test. I want to know the answer to this question.

it took 2 hours to go 'cause i was busy.
i plan to take another test anyway but i want to know if it is alright to wait that long again.
i HAVE to wait for about an hour again.dont ask why.plz just answer.

It is more common to have false positives than false negatives. As far as the hormones are concerned, perhaps you would get a more reliable answer if you posted this question in the science section.
Either way, false negatives are very rare. If you are still unconvinced, I would suggest waiting a week and checking again. Try to take the test sooner though. If you're going to the doc's to get the test done, schedule your appointment earlier in the day. It really doesn't make that much of a difference if it's your first pee or not, if the hormone's there, it's there.

How long did you let your test set from the time you put the urine on it til the time you looked at the results? That is what matters. Hormornes don't dissapear. If your pregnant then they are in your urine. Sometimes not strong enough to be detected by a urine test though. If you let your test set more than 10 min., It is considered inaccurate and can change the reading.

why was the test takin so long after you gave the sample? I believe you're right about hormones desintegrating after a while.....usually the test is taken right there immediates after the sample... That's why home pregnancy tests usually say something about not relying on the results if you check it 10 or more minutes after taking the test...

if you tested at the doctors office, the sample would be unharmed. I'm unclear as to whether you saved the sample yourself (don't know why you would do this). I also don't know why it took 2 hours for the urine to be tested. at the doctors office, they test it immediately after they take the sample...
My advice...take the 2 minutes out of your seemingly very busy day and test you urine immediately (that is, if you want an accurate reading)

TAKE ANOTHER TEST......that is all you can do too be 100% go buy the test now so you will have it in the morning when you first pee.

your best bet is to take another test. go buy one and pee on it
