I would say women because they are the ones who always want change.
Men are content and don't really need to have a devorce, unless the female cheats.
Thats all I have to say about that.

Women ask for divorce the most (at least in my 15 years as a family law paralegal). Most of the time it's one of two things: Either husband has cheated or wife finds someone else.

I would have to say woman ask for divorce more..
Reasons would be the wife has found someone else and or the husband cheated or their just plain out bored and want someone new and exciting!

I think more women file. The men don't want to have to deal with the drama, or pay out the child and spousal support until they are forced to do so.

I am a woman and I asked for it. Our relationship had turned to crap and I wanted out of it. I have no idea on average who does or why, that's just my story..
