First you have to have a video card with connectors for the additional monitor(s). If your current card does not have connectors for additional monitors, you will have to replace the card.

Once you have a multiple output card, attach the monitors and boot the PC. Right click on the desktop and select Properties. Go to the Settings tab in the properties window. You will see all of your monitors there. You can then drag them around the main monitor to set up the arrangement you want. (Depending on your graphics card, you may have to go into the Advanced section of the Settings tab and enable the multiple monitors there.)

You forgotten about the frames, when you do that with a page split between 2 screens, you have the monitor fram in the middle

You have to have a video card that supports DUAL monitors.

If you have one of these cards installed, it will have an option under DISPLAY PROPERTIES that will allow you to CLONE or EXTEND your primary display.

Hope this helps. Good luck!
