I need to find out where I can research a company called alpine logistics inc.

They offered my girlfriend a work at home oppurtunity. They said she would be receiving packages from the states, asia and europe. Then shipping them to a third party to the same locations. Is this legal?

She has received one package that contains a Ipod and was shipped directly to her from Apple Corp. Alpine logistics inc will provide her with us postal labels (they were sent Fedex to her)

They also said they would pay her $30 for each package using Paypal ...what do you think ? How can I check if this is legit????

There is an Alpine Logistics located in:
Address: 8614 Ne 55th Ave Ste C, Vancouver, WA, United States Map

Phone: (360) 546-0650

SIC: Arrangement of Transportation of Freight and Cargo

Line of business: Freight Transportation Arrangement

You can all them and ask questions but it is my opinion that this is a SCAM.
I saw on Dateline that some people use stolen credit cards to order things and have them sent to you then you send them to another address which then implicates you in the theft. I would not do it!!!!! Please do you research. Check out the website below. It may help.

Have you done a general search in google or any search engine? Several different 'freight forwarding' companies come up under that name if you do.
I would investigate that and see if you can find anything.
I personally wouldn't get involved in something like that because it looks like this company is either out of India or Thai, or someplace like that. It may be a violation of certain trade options, depending on what they trade or ship. It shouldn't have to go through a 'middle man' like your girlfriend, unless they are covering something up.

Try checking with the Better Business Bureau. Sounds like a scam to me.

Be careful here, without knowing the contents of what you ship you are putting yourself at risk for prosecution. What if it's heroin? See what I mean? You can check with the Secretary fo State where you are! Do it!
