Most likely that is what it is. My son had the hiccups all the time when I was pregnant and it kinda feels like a jumping sensation or a poke such as you said.

That's sure what it sounds like!
It is a repetitive jerking sensation... depending on where the head is - sometimes it's a poke in the bladder over and over again... but with a rhythm - just like if you had hiccups.

It sounds like baby hiccups to me. When I was pregnant with my third he once had them for almost 20 minutes! It's cute isn't it?

when my daughter would get hiccups, it would feel like muscle spazums. sometimes they would last 5 mins and sometimes more. but it sucks because my daughter is over 3 months old now and she gets the hiccups alot. so be prepared if your baby gets them alot. i was told you have to burp them really well, but, thats not true, she gets them no matter what.

I always thought it was the baby moving around in there until you asked this question. I felt that too...almost everyday. It's a cool feeling. You kno your baby is fine and everything.

yes..it is.... depending on how far long you are....! my baby does it at least 3 times a day (i am 39 weeks...) apparently its a good sign ..has to deal with the lungs!
