I've tried the print screen button alone, as well as with ctrl, shift, and alt. When I try to paste into paint, word, or any other photo application I have, the paste option is not available.

But it will allow me to print a copy with ctrl + p. I am needing to edit the picture before I print it.

I would really appreciate any help!

There is not too much into it, press Alt Print Screen.

Go to Word > Edit > Paste Special > Choose Bitmap.

If still doesnt work, you have some kinda problem with that key.

Be sure that after you press the print-screen button on your keyboard you immediately go to a program such as Paint or Adobe Photo Shop. If you happen to copy something else in between your print-screen and you pasting it, the print screen will be lost. Also note that if the keyboard shortcut for pasting your print screen does not work, try to use right click -> paste or edit -> paste.

Can't imagine why - I do this all the time. Please try again by pressing and holding Alt and Prn Scr simultaneously. This should put a copy to the clipboard. Go to an empty Word document and right-click, paste.

When you click it, the "picture toolbar" should come up. Click the "text wrap" button and select "in front of text ."

With the picture toolbar displayed, you can crop or make grayscale to save colored ink, etc.

Please send a message if it doesn't work.

alt+printscrn = Active window Snapshot
pritnscrn = Desktop Snapshot

To paste simply do ctrl+ v in the program of your choice (must support bmp image).

look on Google for a application which will enable you to re-map a chain of keys to a single key. this might enable you to outline something like CTRL+ALT+suited ARROW to advise PrintScr
