It is not a legal holiday. And you have to stay to the strict meaning of your agreement. if it is motherday, then it is only that. Not the whole weekend. I just ran into this.

NO, it is technically not a "legal" holiday, but it is Mother's Day Weekend . . how would he feel if he wanted his daughter for the weekend of Father's Day and she said no?? This is something that your husband and his Ex need to figure out together . . stay out of it, it's not about you!

It's not a legal holiday. It's a national day of reconition. Sunday is Mother's Day. Your husband daughter should spend it with her on Sunday

In our divorce papers I get her Mother's Day Weekend regardless of whose weekend it is supposed to be and the same for him on Father's Day. Ours starts at 6pm on Friday and ends at 6pm on Sunday.

Let his daughter be with her Mom. Be reasonable. Wouldn't you want your child with you on Mother's day? Mother's day means nothing to a dad anyways.

If the child is with him for the weekend, per the decree, then he gets her for the weekend and she gets the child for Mother's Day, legally. But just this once, let her go be with her Mom all weekend....it will give you a weekend off!
