Why is your hubby afraid? My hubby and i had sex 2 nights before i was induced. It wont' hurt the baby. Try to walk, lots but don't over do it. I was induced and was only 1cm dialated for most of the morning, around 12, i took a walk, 30 secs. after starting my walk, my water broke in the middle of the hallway. LOL, most embarrassing thing i have ever experienced. lol. :)

Well when I was pregnant, I tried to force labor. I walked, drank cator oil/mineral oil, i scrubbed my house top and bottom to stay moving, I tried sex. Nothing threw me into labor and good thing as it turns out my child was to big to fit. He had to born c-section. My sister tried everything too, the dr finally stripped her membranes not once but twice and the second time it threw her into labor. As it turns out w/ her, her baby's umbilical cord was like 3 inches shorter than normal and thats why only stripping membranes worked for her.(by the way she said its really painful) My conclusion is that the baby will come when its ready!! Dont force it no matter how uncomfortable you are, and believe me I know how uncomfortable you are.

It may sound rude but making the uterus contract is the best way witch its usually by sex or masterbation. So if your hubby wont have sex maybe try the other.
Also alot of walking and doing squats to allow the head to drop will help also.

I've heard a lot of different things to induce labor. My mom told me to ride in car on a bumpy road can do it. But I ended up having a C-section.
Good luck to you and the baby :)

I know how miserable it is at the end, but you've got to be patient. Maybe go to the spa and get a makeover. It will get your mind off of being so miserable. Or do some last minute shopping for your baby. It will be much harder to get out and do anything when you have a newborn.

Sex, spicy foods and walking are the traditional favorites. You can also try nipple stimulation. Your hubby might even help you with that one.
Castor oil will only give you diarrhea and cramping, not contractions. It says right on the bottle not to use it during pregnancy.

Jumping Jacks will not do any good. You should try some moderate walking and try to have sex, tell your husband that it is very safe.

relax and take a load off. Doing jumping jacks can harm the baby, depending on the intensity of course

well i would try this recipe its called eggplant parm. and its a great meal and the restaurant that came up with it guarentees you will go into labor within 48hours ..and hey even if for some reason u dont at least u will have a great meal!!
Ingredients
3 medium sized eggplants
1 cup flour
6 eggs, beaten
4 cups fine Italian bread crumbs, seasoned
Olive oil for sauteing
8 cups of marinara sauce (recipe below)
1/2 cup grated Romano cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 1/2 pounds of mozzarella cheese, shredded
2 cups of ricotta cheese
Directions
1. After you wash the eggplant, slice them into 1/4-inch thick slices. You may choose to peel the eggplant before you slice it. However, you may want to leave the skin on since it contains a lot of vitamins.
2. Place the eggplant slices on a layer of paper towels and sprinkle with a little salt, then cover with another layer of paper towels and hold it down with something heavy to drain the excess moisture. Let them sit for about an hour.
3. Working with one slice of eggplant at a time, dust with flour, dip in beaten eggs, then coat well with breadcrumbs.
4. Saute in preheated olive oil on both sides until golden brown.
5. In baking dish, alternate layers of marinara sauce, eggplant slices, ricotta, parmesan and Romano cheeses, until you fill the baking dish, about 1/8 inch from the top. Cover with shredded mozzarella cheese, and bake for 25 minutes in a 375 degree oven. Let sit for 10 minutes before serving.

yes it is true. Walking, jumping, and even sex can help speed up the delivery and reduce pain while giving birth.
