Since reinstalling Windows XP on my PC, I have found that, on my keyboard, @ and" have swapped places and I can no longer get the pound sterling sign. Anyone know how to remedy this?

People will say you can do it via control panel .> regional languages, but if it happened after re installation then it won't work, only another reinstall or possibly a repair using the recovery disc will help.

You need to go into Control Panel and select Language and Regional Settings. Check which country your keyboard is set to.

It Sounds like your keyboard has been set up for the American type keyboard.
Change your language settings. You have it set to US English instead of UK English

i believe the different solutions. you do not have a plague, that is something incorrect including your keyboard/usb port/ connection quite often. first, merely attempt unplugging it and plugging it back in if that doesnt artwork, attempt to discover a clean as much as date driving force for it online. in case you're too lazy to try this / that doesnt artwork, merely circulate purchase a clean keyboard.

then change everything to english UK

It installs with US keyboard and currency/language settings as default.

Click on and than change to UK keyboard, language and time/date zones.

go to control panel and settings and change back from the US keyboard to the UK keyboard

Change the Keybord layout from US to UK ..... or Vice Versa depending on where you live....


or if your from Hull just visit PC World as you need a new driver for your power lead....
