Personally, I would split the difference and say 10 weeks, but it's generally accepted the the ultrasound is more accurate. Congratulations.
Edit: My doctor ammended his due date because the sonogram is a more accurate guess. It hardly matters because baby will be born when he or she is ready, not according to anyone's calendar.

They measure pregnancy in 40 weeks although you're actually only pregnant for 38 weeks. So - technically, they're BOTH right! Go by the 11 weeks for calculating a due date.
FWIW - after 18 weeks pregnant, a sonogram is NOT accurate in determining due date.

At this age, the ultrasound is very accurate and the date of last mentrual period is always a guess. Talk with your doctor about what happens if you go a little late because the date may be off, or if he changes the due date, what will happen if you go into labor a little early. This will set your mind at ease. As for what to "go by" as far as the rest of your pregnancy, it will be easiest if you keep track with the same date (and number of weeks) as your doctor's office. Good luck.

i had an ultrasound done that said i was 16 weeks and going by my period i would have been 34 weeks when i was really 22 weeks they just set my due date by the ultrasound and i went early none of it is really exact the ultrasound goes by size after a certain point so if your baby is small then you don't really know and a due date can be up to 3 weeks off and be called normal anyway
I would just plan for the earlier date to be on the safe side congratulations

I would go by the doctor since it is mostly accurate because the sonogram might just be going by the size of the baby.

There is always a two week gray area. After about the fifth month, they can be a little more accurate. Remember, they go back two weeks from your last period to calculate a due date. So.................don't freak out!
