This IS America, folks, everyone is entitled to an oppinion, even the rich and famous. My question is, why do you care so much??? Isn't what our government is doing on a day to day basis much more of an issue??? After all they are the ones in power. I just feel that you're distracting yourselves from the REAL issues by doing this!!!

My problem with Celebrities (Liberal or Conservative) is that when they express their opinion about our country, politics or any issue concerning the U.S.A. they don't always do it with facts or knowledge of what they are speaking about. If a celebrity is going to take that role on they need to step out of Actor mode and act as a real human being. Most of them are like dummies and the left and right wing extremist are pulling their strings. They need to be careful of what they say, how they say and who they say it about. The rest of the world looks up to us and watches our every move (even the ones who say the hate us), So when they just irresponsibly spew garbage without the facts or knowledge they are putting us in a even more dangerous situation with the rest of the world.
I mean just because the World views us as negative as they do doesn't mean that our Celebrities should get up on T.V. and bash us along with them, what kind of message does that send the rest of the world? It tells them that we are weak and vulnerable. I just think that if they are going to say something, they really need to research it, find the facts, form a genuine opinion and speak from the heart... NOT a Que card behind the camera. Don't you agree?

This IS America folks everyone is entitled to counter the lies and idiocy of anyone even the rich and famous. Isn't the truth of what is happening on a day to day basis much more of an issue than what a few pammpered idiots feed thier brainwashed fans?

1 - Remember where we are; Yahoo Answers/Politics.

2 - When they have no real ammunition to use, they harp on the celebrities, as if those people represented Democrats as a whole. Anything to distract from more substantive issues.

the funny thing is, half those people, i wouldn't even have a clue who they were if it weren't for conservative types crying about them constantly.

<"Michael, Jane, Rosie and Sean are all traitors. They should all be in prison. They think they are above the law. They embolden our enemies and give them more ammo against our country. ">
for what exercising free speech?
this is exactly the same type of beliefs that neocons claim makes the Cuban government so bad, but then lean on those type of beliefs to persecute anyone who opposes their self-righteous systems of morality instilled on them by conservative entertainers that do exactly the same thing as mentioned.
if our enemies hate us for our freedom, wouldn't this type of beliefs be supporting the enemy's goals?

You are right, everyone is entitled to an opinion, and everyone has a right to express that opinion. Republicans focus on "Hollywood Liberals" because they focus on anyone who publicly disagrees with them. It is perfectly fine for Ann Coulter, Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'Reilly, or any of the other right-wing propagandists to say whatever they want, to a much larger audience, without checking their facts, but it is just more of that conservative hypocrisy.

I think I got a clue on this subject this past week. It seems the Leftist are trying to tar Fred Thompson's image because he played some kind of skinhead nazi type on television once, and they seem to assume that this is who he is.

Perhaps this explains why they are so enamored of celebrity images and movie types. They actually think any of it is real.

This would also explain why they are so easily conned by the Michael Moore and Al Gore types.

because of the fact they have a tendency to be for aborting babies, gay unions and socialism. hence, they could be extra apt to vote for Obama or somebody else in the democratic social gathering. i could say Republicans have extra coronary heart! They love u.s. and don't desire terrorism to take over. Conservatives have coronary heart for the unborn, in evaluation to abortionists. The info communicate volumes as to why they could vote for Obama than McCain!

I care because what they are doing is wrong . I care because those people preach hate for our country . I care that America-hating- Hollywood "stars" spread hatred for our country as tho it was the code of the cool ..and the fact that they attempt to manipulate the manipulable (mainly young impressionables) , I care big-time . Who wouldn't care ?

When you are in the position to influence someones way of thinking (celebrities etc...) you have a responsibility to be informed about the opinion you are giving...most celebrities simply blurt out whats cool...or whatever fad is popular among the other celebs...no informed opinion is available...no matter which party they are favoring at the moment...not to mention almost every single one of them are so far out of touch with the average American that it's almost comical...

We don't, we just get sick of the liberals putting these America haters on a pedestal. And in the same sense you are knocking Republicans opinions about liberal celebrities opinions. That is hypocritical.
