the public demanded he be present so they were forced to include him. then, chris mathews tried to belittle him but came off as an idiot shill. then, despite trying to make him look bad, ron paul's ratings jumped 22%. are we that easy to trick?

In all fairness, it is tough to get responses from 10 people in a 90 minute period. It might have appeared that he was shut out to his die hard supporters. If the group gets whittled down and he is still a part of it and he cannot get a word in edgewise, THEN he is being marginalized.
Remember these first debates which in my opinion are way too freaking early are feel good, " check me out" sessions. It will be when they really start to talk issues, without reminiscing on Reagan and everyone else they try to cloak themselves with, and going for the jugular is when you can get a sense of who is being cut off and not being able to express themselves sufficiently.

I think that when push comes to shove you are going to find that the press pretty well decides everything in America. Let me give a few examples, OJ Simpson in a court of law not found guilty but the news media made him guilty, and we treat him like he is guilty, that same story could be said for Robert Blake, Michael Jackson. Let me bring this back to politics. Everyone calls this Iraq war Bush's war but the Truth is that really Mr. Clinton didn't do his duty. He inserted us with out any vested interest into Yugoslavia and in the new interview he said that it was the right thing to do, but he didn't say in that interview that he should take an action against Iraq for violating (17 times) the piece accord of 1992 and left office with a mess that had to be cleaned up, if that raised an eye brow or two I am not surprised the media didn't say a lot about it. You weren't told very much about the many times that American aircraft fling the no fly zone were shot at or Iraqis flying in the no fly zone. Many people are like swine to the feed trough and believe every thing that the press puts out. by the way I really like Dr. Paul.

Everyone seems to be out to get the two best candidates. Ron Paul on the Republican side and Mike Gravel on the Democratic side.

Both are being kept under the radar by most of the mainsteam media. And both got much less attention than the others in the debates.

They should both be seen and heard. In my view theyre the two best possible candidates, and its a real shame that theyre being treated like this.
