I am now 24 weeks pregnant with my 5th child....let me tell you a lil bout this pregnancy......between 11 and 15 weeks I spotted non stop brownish blood; I had an ultrasound done and they told me I had blood clots in my placenta and they would clear up on their own due to the blood thinning drugs I am on, then after 15 weeks I stopped bleeding/spotting for 2 weeks. At 17 weeks I started bleeding again and spotted again for 2 and a half more weeks, and this time after another ultrasound I was told my cervix was irritated and thats where the blood was coming from. As I said I am now 24 weeks and THANK GOD I havent bled or spotted the last 5 weeks and I pray I will carry this lil boy to term and have a healthy baby!!!!!!! As for you, please please get back in to see your doctor and ask them for an ultrasound just to give you peace of mind okay? I have been there so I know what you are going through. I will pray for you and God Bless You!!!!

Are the cramps persistent like regular menstrual cramps? Before I even found out I was pregnant, early on, I would get weird cramps that would hurt for a few seconds, maybe up to a minute and then disappear, and they would be pretty intense. Apparently this is due to the uterus stretching out, causing the cramps, to make room for the baby. If the spotting stays consistent and does not increase, I would wait until Monday. I spotted for about 13 days, was totally worried, but then found out it was just implantation bleeding that had pooled up, exercising had knocked it loose. If the bleeding increases, starts filling up a pad, is bright red and/or includes clots, that is when you need to head to the doctor. My nurse actually told us to not worry about it unless those things did happen. Of course I worried anyway. I am glad you have an appointment on Monday, that should put your mind at ease. Oh, and bleeding after sex, especially this early on, is very, very common.

Its totally natural to spot. From my experiance its just the baby settling down so to say. Your body knows what its doing. This doesnt mean that you are having a miscarriage. I had one and had no signs of bleeding, pain or discomfort. I went to the doctor and found that there was no heartbeat. Like I said its just settling down for the count. Give it a few more weeks and I promise it will stop. Hang in there!!!!!!! You'll be fine.

O girl, I know what you mean... I did the same thing. I thought I was about to loose my baby and I was going nuts. My doctor reassured me that spotting is ok. He did tell me if it got worse to let him know but he said the baby was fine. I did have a healthy baby girl and everything was fine at the time of delivery. She is 2 now. Just stay calm and relax... the doctors usually know what is best.

Some women spot during their pregnancy and there is nothing that can be done. As long as the doctor knows and confirms that you are not miscarrying, stay calm. Just keep your doctor informed is the bleeding becomes worse.

Do you have sex the night before your spotting, that can happen. I spotted for weeks 7 through 12 in both of my normal pregnancies because of cervical bleeding, just blood vessels popping on my cervix.

Some people have periods while they are pregnant. Also, if you just got a culture done, then that could be causing the spotting. Anytime they go messing around in there with sharp or pointy objects its possible.

My sisterinlaw did this for a few weeks and had a healthy baby! Good luck! Congrats! Some spot and it means nothing, but avoid sex until it goes away!
