How much do the participants on THE PEOPLES COURT get paid for their appearance???

The audience is paid extras. The people who are litigants are split the difference of the settlement and the total amount of money allowed in their state's small claims court. Thus the amount ranges from $2,000 to $5,000 plus, split by the two parties after the settlement. You can see that in a statement in very small letters at the end of the show if you tape it and stop the tape!

I think they get paid like a couple hundred and then they also get there travel expenses (plane, train etc.) and there hotel acccom. paid for.
