I went 41 weeks and was induced. I did have the epidural...which was scary because I hate needles and it hurt a little. Labor started off great until my epidural wore off and I had to get another one. I had feeling on one side of my body. Then I was so numb and could not feel my contractions so they backed my dosage off...waste of time because it hurt and they had to bump it back up lol. Besides that complication everything went great during delivery. I was in labor for 2 days....pushed for about an hour. Gave birth to a wonderful healthy baby boy of 9 pounds 11.5 oz and 22 inches long. This was our first child. The afterbirth I really did not even pay attention to nor the stitches. Did not feel any of it due to epidural plus too busy looking at the baby!! However hours after the birth things started to hurt. Had to walk around with ice packs in my crotch and had a bad case of hemroids from pushing so hard....now that was painful. The whole push the baby out with an epidural was cake compared to how I felt afterwards lol. Took about 3 1/2 weeks until I did not hurt any more...that includes trying to dry my milk up which was so frustrating and painful!!! I am ready to go through it all again though...my husband on the other had is not quite ready lol! Plus I had an easy pregnancy...no sickness, no anything....totally perfect.

My whole pregnancy was a joke. It was so easy and I never had any problems symptoms or worries.
I was 40w 4d
I lost my mucus plug at 10:30 on a tuesday night and went to bed around 11:30 woke up at 9am had breakfast, hung out at home until about 2:30-3, went for a long walk, started feeling crampy, lost the rest of my mucus plug earlier that morning, Ate a little bit and started having contractions. about 430-5. At 6 they were 4 minutes apart and we had just gotten to the hospital. At 8 my water broke and sometime after 9 I decided to get the epidural ( I wasn't going to get it, but I knew I was going to tear or get an episiotomy) I did my breathing the whole way through and it really helped. At about 10 I started pushing and the baby was ready to come out, I just wasnt stretching! The doctor had barely cut me when I ripped open and he came out! 10:41 pm 7lbs 10oz 21 1/4 inches long and a head full of hair! I was in Labor about 5 1/2 hours and it was sooooo easy! I think it went too fast but....The time will come again! I went in with no special expectations and really didnt want the epidural or an episiotomy (which ended up being 3rd degree, fourth is the worst) But all and all it was the best experience I have ever had and the easiest thing I have ever done and I would do it over and over if I wanted 20 more kids!!

My delivery was easy since I took the epidural. At 3 am, my water broke, so we drove to the hospital. I was dialated to 5cm. I requested epidural at 5 am, before the real pain kicked in. Every 1-2 hrs, I kept dilating. Around 8:38am, I started pushing and my baby came out at 8:58am. Therefore, it took me less than 6 hrs to give birth and 20 minutes of pushing. I did tare a little, so the doctor had to sew me up. My baby weighed 6 lbs and 2 oz and 19 inches tall. It was my first baby.

3 days bed rest in hospital
Feb. 3rd had an epidural and it wore off during pushing, got an epsiotomy and had a healthy 8lb 5oz 19 " beautiful baby girl.
total of 61 hours of horrible labor pains
But i would do it all in a heart beat.

My contractions began at 6:00am and so I called the Dr, and he told me that I was not in labor because I was not out of breath and sounding in pain. So, an hr later I called him and could barely talk and so he said it was now the real deal. We drove to the hosp with lights and sirens (my fiance is a firefighter) and then...once there, I had her at 10;12 that night. The epidural scared me because I couldn't feel my legs so then I had a panic attack. The only pain I remember was the contractions. Like the worse cramps ever!!! I will never forget the way the cramps felt. Its a pain that you will always remember. But then again, every woman is different. With all that said, it was soo worth all the pain. I love my daughter. By the way she weighed 8lbs, 2 oz. and she tore me pretty bad. I had 3rd degree laceration....

Here are my 2:

Daughter #1- Natural birth, I was in labor from 9 or so in the morning until 9:46 PM. I had an episiotomy that I didn't want, nor did I feel was needed. She weighed 8 pounds, 10 ounces.

Son #2: Natural birth, labor started at 1AM & he was born at 10:56AM. I had a 1st degree tear that required stitches. He was 8 pounds 16 ounces and had a 15 cm head (hence the stitches).

(Edited to add if you are interested in natural birth- the book Birthing From Within was very helpful to me)

Both were beautiful births. Here is a site with a lot of cool stories, I enjoyed reading them while I was pregnant.

Well, I wouldn't have certainly one of my possess; thank God all my hard work and deliveries have been excellent - painful for the reason that I had they all ordinary - however excellent. However, we did have a scare simply a few weeks in the past while my grand daughter gave beginning to her first youngster. She was once in hard work and in the direction of the top they misplaced the youngster's heartbeat and did an emergency C-segment. The youngster had the wire wrapped round her neck. All is excellent despite the fact that. She's a truly cutie. I do have a humorous tale despite the fact that - while my final youngster was once born I was once 39. It was once my most effective boy. I are living in Arizona and the temperature in May, June and July are horrible. Estevan was once no longer due till August however I might now not stand it and on July twenty seventh I sat looking TV at approximately 6 pm and I drank a few caster oil. They say that precipitates contractions. I did not know the way a lot to drink, so I drank the complete bottle, bit by bit. At 10 I had the runs, however all in the course of the night time I had little contractions no longer unhealthy in any respect, like with my different kids. I acquired up took a bath and went to the medical institution. Sure adequate I was once already 6 cm dialated without a truly ache. The midwife informed me she'd meet me on the medical institution inside the hour. Well, I needed to pass get up my youngsters and husband, get them showered, dressed and fed, percent a bag, decide upon up movie for the digicam, so I did not exhibit up on the medical institution till approximately two:00. The Midwife was once frantic. I simply stored having small pains. Well, I was once eight cm while I acquired there. And the rigors endured that approach till approximately three:30 while I began having a few predominant ones, however most effective approximately 12 of them, for the reason that Estevan slid out. He got here out pooping and pooped all over the place the midwifes footwear. I gave her a present certificates for her to shop for herself an additional pair. He was once the one certainly one of my youngsters that didn't have cholic. I bet the cleansing earlier than beginning helped.

I wanted epidural but unfortunately there was no time for me to fill out the paperwork so I did it all natural. My baby came out when I was only 5 CM dialated and it was painful as hell because I had a badd baddd tear down there. I was only in labor for 45 or 55 minutes. Around there. it was less than an hour for sure though. He weigh at 5LBS

I had 2 boys; the first was 6# 2oz and the second was 6# 12oz

1st son
I went into labor in the evening just before going to bed, but it was mile, so I went to bed. Soon as my husband fell asleep I got up as I was too uncomfortable to sleep. I was restless. Not bad pain... just real uncomfortable so I couldn't sleep. Finally in the morning labor was serious enough to go to the hospital.
I had taken natural childbirth, but chickened out at the last minute and had an epidural. I think they always do an episiotomy.

2nd son
I had lots of false labor at the end.
Halloween night my stomach was rock hard in an unending contraction as I took my 2yr old trick-or-treating. I didn't want my evening ruined and had a glass of wine and was surprised when it took me out of labor.
Next night I went for supper at neighbor's house and suddenly my waters broke and he took me to the hospital as my husband was stationed on base that night. I don't remember how long my labor was... maybe overnight but I've forgotten. Again an epidural, and probably an episiotomy.

I found labor uncomfortable from the early to mid stages, and more uncomfortable in the later stages, but it was all bearable. It's easier when your children are smaller size in birth.

This might be a little long, but thats a lot of details so here goes.....

My water broke at 5am, I was 38wks along... I called my midwife and she told me to come in when the office opened at 8 or 9. When I went in they did a stress test to check the baby, they said everything was fine.. at this point I was having a few irregular mild contractions, no pain, yet..... They said I could go home and do whatever I wanted, and to come in when my contractions were 5 mins appart and I couldn't talk through them.... I then went to Denny's lol, where I recieved many strange looks and even had one waitress get upset and say that I should be at the hospital lol..... The contractions continued to be irregular, so I just went home and sat on my birth ball for a while.... Around 6pm I decided to go ahead and go to the hospital so that I could get settled (I didn't want to go in the middle of the night) And also so I could get in the tub....I ordered a pizza to my room, ate, and then I got in the tub for about 30 mins, and thats when the contractions came ...(the real ones) I then tried to use the birth ball but kinda started to freak out because of the pain.... Around 9-10 they came and checked me and I was only a 2.... at this point they wanted to induce me (because my water was broke for so long) and I freaked out cus they said the pain would be worse, so I begged for the epidural (which I swore I would never have) around 1 in the morning I got the epi and pitocin.... I then went to sleep for a few hours..... around 7:30-8 they started talking about doing a c-section if I wasn't ready to push by the time my midwife ate breakfast... as soon as she left to eat, I felt the urge to push, I was checked and sure enough I was ready..... I then started to push, for about an hour, I did not have an episiotomy ( thank god) but I did have 2 mild tears... Had a few stiches... I delivered my placenta about 15 mins after the baby.... In total from the time my water broke till my son was born was 28hrs....

Sorry so long lol.... hope I gave enough info for you.....Good Luck!
