Right click on desktop, select properties. Go to settings and look at the bottom left.
This doesn't tell you the max resolution of you monitor though, just what is set already.

Right click on the desktop and select Properties in the menu that appears.
Go to the "settings" tab of the window that appears
Look on the left side near the center. You will see a slide bar. Moving that bar will show you all the screen resolution available to you. The current screen will be displayed under the bar.
