OK must I give instructions on every subject ! Sheese, 1 Remove your left high heel 2 Put your left foot on the seat 3 Press your left calf against the steering wheel. 4 grasp your cell phone in your right hand 5 With your left hand prop what ever you are reading in the middle of the steering wheel 6 Hold your Starbucks cup in your left hand 7 enter the expressway on ramp !

One does not simply drive with hands in the 10 & 2 o'clock position

Picture the steering wheel as a clock. Put your left hand where 10 o'clock would fall and your right hand where 2 o'clock would fall. Drive with your hands on the steering wheel every single time you drive. Sometimes I drive with my knees on the bottom of the wheel but I don't recommend that for beginners.

I always wondered that? My car has a digital clock so I couldn't even find 10 and 2 o'clock.. At least the old cars had regular clocks so I could put my hands there.

10 and 2 oclock meaning hold u r hands on the steering wheel as if u were ona clock with the big hand plointed at 10 and the little at 2, if this conept is too advanced maybe driving is too..

Driving at 10 and 2 oclock is supposed to assure you that you have command of the wheel to steer properly and be able not to panic in case situations arise that you have to veer off so as not to hit anyone or anything while keeping your car under control.

your feet of course.... or knees.... perhaps elbows... haven't you seen all the people driving while smoking, drinking soda, doing their hair and make-up? 10 and 2 is the only time you can use your hands! lol

My Ex used to drive with his knee's.... probably still does it!
