Yes I get depressed quite often. I believe everyone gets a bit depressed somedays! When I am depressed I usually try to stay away from others as to not upset everyone around me as I am not very pleasant to be around. It usually only lasts a day or two. When I am like that I even think a different way than I would normally. I can't stand it! There i no good remedy I have found. Let me know if you get a revelation on how to stop this.

I suffer from depression. Althoug I probably should, I have not seen a doctor yet. So far, what has helped me through it is faith in God and prayer to him. Second, having a close companion you are able to talk to, someone that will just listen and let you cry and scream when you need to. Third, find a creative outlet, mine is writing, it helps because you are able to put what you are feeling into something positive and constructive. Depression is a real sickness so if these things do not work for you, ask a doctor for help. They will be able to determine how to best help you. DO NOT GIVE UP, your life is precious. We all need a little help sometimes because life is hard so don't be too ashamed or afraid to ask for it.

I was depressed in 8th grade. I didn't know why and it was terrible. For months upon months I was completely miserable. I wrote a suicide note, contemplated how I was going to do it, etc.

Then my mom found the note, I had hidden it, but secretly wanted her to find it. I wanted someone to care, because no one knew I was depressed. I'm a naturally bubbly person, so while I was in school and around my mom I was my old bubbly self, but then when I was alone I was completely distraught.

My mom found the note, freaked out, and made me talk to her. Then she put my in therapy. There are people out there that don't think it works, well, I am here to say it does, kinda.

The lady I had, she's wasn't that great. And though I don't think the whole therapy thing neccessarily worked, it was the love I got from my mom, and my therapist that helped.

I got through my depression through love. Corny as it may sound.

I was and I just tried to look on the bright side of things but sometimes it comes back.....If it is too severe you may need outside help like medical attention but I haven't so far....Take care and try to smile... Also try to make yourself get out of the house and do things you enjoy. The more time I spend doing nothing and sleeping too much the more down I get...Your lucky you have a husband who cares mine didn't just figured it was my problem not his...Surround yourself with those who care, family and friends.... :)

I had clinical depression from age 28-34 due to the loss of 2 babies and a very sick son. I got thru it, people prayed and I took meds for a while. Stay positive and thank God for your kids, family and home. It will pass.

I think everyone gets down from time to time. Keep yourself busy. Go shopping or for a walk and excersizing is proven to help with depression.
