Does this contradict the postulate that the speed of light cannot change?

Only if we're moving toward each other. The speed is the same but it does get color shifted.

no, it doesn't. cos the formula for the velocity of a wave is frequency*wavelength

so when i say that these 2 parameters change, they'll still remain in the same ratio as before, giving u the same velocity
