Yes. The ONLY way to prevent pregnancy is abstinence. Using protection or birth control, pulling out, etc. are not 100% guaranteed to stop from getting pregnant. My friend got pregnant when she had sex while on her period.

If she has very short cycles it is possible. If she has normal or long cycles it isn't likely. Sperm can live up to 5-6 days (at the most) in the woman and if she ovulates before they die then she has a good chance. But most people won't ovulate until a couple weeks after the period starts.

Yes!! People say that you are only fertile like 2 days a month but I am here to tell you that its more like 6 0r seven. According to my cycle- I shouldn't have been pregnant with any of my children. I believe my second one was conceived on the day after my period. So I hope that your cousin considers protecting herself- there are worse things than babies- AIDS for one. Please implore her to act more responsibly in the future.

Ive had something close to this happen to me, but the protection broke. I went to the doctor anyway to get the after morning pill. The doctor said even though it is highly unlikely to get pregnant during your menstual period, you should still see a doctor to get the after morning pill or take further actions.

Yes.
It is not very likely, because opposite to what a previous answer said, right before or right after your period and during your period is the less fertile time. But still it is possible to ovulate during the period or soon before or after it.
