London is a good city for days out and sightseeing, but would not like to live there.

Yes, London is beautiful. Like any large city, it has good and bad areas, but on the whole, I find it interesting, intriguing and full of life. People say Londoners may be rude and arrogant, but I have never had the experience.
I have always found people there to be open, friendly, helpful and very good-natured. Go with an open mind and a positive attitude, and you will have a great time. Good luck.

London has many great architectural works, of note are the churches and cathedral (St. Paul's) designed by the great Sir Christopher Wren after the fire of London in 1666. London is also the European city with the highest proportion of green park land.
It obviously has its less picturesque areas, but what big city doesn't?
Do a web search for 'tourist information London', and you'll see plenty of sites with information.

London is lovely. The buildings are beutiful - as are the parks and gardens. There is so much to do that it is impossible to be bored.
People say it is expensive and yes, it is if you live there. I visited a few weeks ago and found the 'normal' - not ponsy designer restaurants were the same price or cheaper than my home town. The shops in Oxford Street were also cheaper. There is also so much to do there that is free - museams, galleries, an afternoon in Covent Garden to name a few, so it is up to you - it can be expensive or as cheap as you like oh - and check out the markets!!

london in the war years despite the bombing was the place to be it was swinging! people were just one everything was just lovely//I dont and haven't lived there for many years but i pop in when nearby and i don't like what i see its not dear old london anymore so all i can say young londoners you don't know what you missed

It depends where you go, i suppose there are some good places to go sightseeing like the london eye or buckingham palace, i've never actually been to london but i hear it's not so nice.

I just went to london last weekend and LOVED it!!! THere is so much to see and do, and the sights are great. Unfortunately I don't live there though, sorry. Bon voyage!
