AHHHHHH Is locke dead or is he injured will he survive AHHHHHHH tell me what you think

Locke isn't dead. Either Jacob or the island will heal him. (Actually, I'm starting to think that it's Jacob that heals people, and not the island itself.)

Early on in the series, the creators stated that characters will die; that people want to see that. Locke is such a strong character, though, I'm not sure he's gone for good--and they definitely left an opening when Ben said something like "you better hope Jacob helps you." I like Locke a lot, but in a way I hope he's dead because it would be more of a shock than if he's magically healed (again!). One reason LOST is great is that it's different than other shows that always have happy resolutions. But another testimony to its excellence is the fact that we're all wondering if Locke's really dead and we all have different ideas!

This is my theory: Locke will be healed by Ben(who is Jacob).
Ben is a psychological nutcase and his 'chaotic self' is trapped inside his subconsciousness which he knows as "Jacob". Ben kills people because Jacob tells him to. Classic schizophrenia.
The Island materializes to it's inhabitants their inner most subconscious fear/desire so they can confront it. It did with Locke (father), Hurley (psycho ward friend and food), Shannon(the dog), Boon (his sister Shannon), Charlie (the drugs), Nikki + Paulo (bag of diamonds and the paralysis spiders), Walt (the polar bear), Sawyer (Locke's father), Jack (his father), Mr Eko (his brother) and Ben (his mother and himself) etc. there are plenty more.
Ben has a supernatural abilities perhaps due to the Dharma initiative experimentation or the island itself. Jacob(Ben) will come back and patch Locke up either physically or supernaturally to promote more chaos. Jacob has fun watching the island inhabitants kill each other off, it is no fun when he does it directly. It is very much like playing chess with yourself.

I hope that he's just injured. It would be anti-climactic to kill him off now, especially after the others made such a big deal about him being special.
But, OMG. I was blankly staring at my TV last night trying to fugure out if I actually saw Ben shoot Locke!

i think he is!!!!! i read part of the script online at TV.com and it said "( Locked dying) Help Me". I think he is. And now we just need three more people to die (the producers said 5 people will die and Locke and Anthony have died). i think it could be Bernard and Rose (the producers mentioned that they would be big part) and probably Sayid or Naomi. If you ever want to know anything go to tv.com and search lost. Go to season three episodes and they will give you about what every episode is about!! Thats where i got all of this.

I don't think he is dead, but if he is dead this still wont' be the last we hear of him. I think we'll also hear from Mr. Eko again (remember when Locke made a point of telling people his body was gone???)

OMG! I think he is just injured, but they have surprised us before. At this rate, there will be NO ONE left for the last 3 seasons.

i am in absolute shock!! No way can he be dead! Hopefully to island will help him and pull him through! What about ben getting jealous that he heard Jacob? What's up with that??

He can heal himself. Not gonna be dead. He ll be back in Season 4.

if you people think locke will come back from a gunshot wound lying in a mass grave you are probably.........right.
i mean it is lost anything could happen, but if anyone is to kill ben it will be juliet.
and if anyone should kill locke it should be jack
thats the way i think they should handle it
