give it to a parent to hold for you or put it in a safe place in your room. don't carry it with you when you go out so you won't be tempted to spend it.

Since you are only 14, your parents will have to show their credit card for the purchase. There are many plans which give you a free phone or you can pay for an upgrade. Have your parents take you to the store to see the different options. If your parents have cell service already, they can add you to a family plan. The monthly charges are less.

Get a jar and put all your spare change in it every day. Add any money you receive as gifts or from jobs you do.

Honey, it doesn't matter that you are 14. Have your mama or dad take you to the bank to open a savings account.

And if you do not want to do that, than simply use your will power, always works the best.

Doesn't make since that you do not want to open a savings account for your money, it draws interest and its safe!!!

Have your parents help you open a savings account. Some banks offer discounts and prizes to young savers. You'll need to know your social security number. The bank might also have a minimum balance requirement.

You could also ask someone you trust to hold your money, like your parents. My cousin would have my mom hold her money so that she wouldn't spend it.

You really could open a simple savings account through your mom or dad~but ther than that, just put the money AWAY somewhere and DON'T TOUCH IT. You'll have the money saved up in no time.

depending on how much you get, set a specific goal on how much you can use and how much you can save in a week or a month. and if you buy something make sure you think twice, and if it is worth giving it up for a while until you get your cellphone.

You can't spend the money if you don't have it on you. Simple enough. Leave it at home until you have all that you need.
