HA! the dreaded Packard Bell system - you should be given an option to burn the disks when you first power up the system - look in the menu for something like - make recovery disks.

If you haven't done it - you should still get the option to do it BUT - don't be surprised ifthey don't work - they are full of Packard Bell crap that causes problems.

Don't even think of trying to call Packard Bell - they do not exist in this country - you have to go thru Currys/PC World/Dixons and they cost about £50.

This is the PC World & Co con.

recovery disks are avalible from the manufacturer of your p.c,and as long as your p.c is still under warranty they should cost you nothing
however if the p.c,s warranty has ended, then a minimal charge is normally added
however the packard bell p.c,s have a built in recovery program, this is a small partition built into the hard drive which contains a ghost image of windows xp
here is a link to the instructions of the recovery program...http://support.packardbell.com/uk/item/index.php?i=xpmt10a
follow these simple instructions and you should be able to recover your p.c succesfully
i hope this helps
good luck mate!

The manufacutre's customer service would be the best place to start, I got mine for $15.00 plus $2.00 shipping.

you will probably have to go to HP websites and request one. or if you know someone that has a pc like yours you can get it for them.
