A system of betting in which the bettor must pick the first three winners in the correct sequence. Also called triple.

A trifecta is a horseracing term for picking which horses will come in first, second and third in a given race, in exact order. Using the term in the way you've described in your sentence isn't quite proper unless you've just gotten two answers right and are trying for your third correct answer in a row. It's a bit of a stretch from it's origin but might apply.

Though it's most commonly a horse-racing term when you correctly pick the 1st, 2nd, 3rd places in correct order in the same race, it is also used to describe the show biz triple, which is:

platinum record
hit TV series
Oscar/Emmy/Grammy (any one of these)
