You are very lucky that Drivers ed is still included in your highschool curriculum, many schools have eliminated the course to save money. which means young drivers either don't get that education or their parents pay hundreds of dollars for the course. In some states, passing the driver's ed course can help with discounts on your insurance. While the education will help prepare for driving, it does not cover how to keep your vehicle (make payments, keep insurance up to date, etc)
You were not specific on how you lost your vehicles, we can assume they were repossessed, which does not mean you are not a good driver, just implies you are a dead beat.
We do not know your age, perhaps your parents took the vehicles away because you were not displaying the responsibilty required, to be a car owner.
Having a vehicle is not a right of passage when you turn 16, it is a responsibilty.
When you drive a vehicle, you are responsible for the lives in your car, as well as those outside of it that you may pass along the way.
the skill you learned in drivers ed are yours forever, while your cars may have been taken you still possess the knowledge, and when you are able to afford another vehicle, we all hope you will be a safe and considerate driver.

Consider your self lucky that your school has drivers education. Here in Australia we don't have it and this causes alot of stress on the teenagers (but more the parents) when they want to learn how to drive.
