OK - I'll give a different answer. Assuming your Radeon 9600 is used with a Windows operating system, I strongly recommend going first to Microsoft's site (see the source link below). ATI drivers and updates are posted there after Microsoft has scanned and tested them. Going to ATI for the updates is an acceptable alternative (see the other link below), but downloads there have not been vetted through Microsoft. Also, ATI's site can be a bit confusing if all you want are drivers. It's cluttered with additional ATI utility software, a.k.a., "Catalyst".

The best way is to go to the manufacturer of the video card. Look for support or driver downloads. if the company is no longer in business, you can also go to ATI's website. They are the makers of the Radeon chipset
