You're exactly right , it isn't a legitimate way of getting out a clear message .
Btw, I read an article about the recent rioting and to my surprise, France has averaged over 100 burning cars a DAY for YEARS. . . but when the rioting really flares-up it goes from an average of 100 to 600, 700, or 800 !!
EDIT* - Oh, and one further note. . . The press is still attributing it to " Youths " even though almost ALL of them are Muslims !! FACT !!

Did you know that the highest marginal tax rate in France is 85% (income + social security equivalent)?
Add to that local, property and sales tax and a top-earner in France gets to keep between 5 and 10 percent of their income. Yipes! An American liberals dream come true!
How does this relate? Well, perhaps, those who are feeding off of the successful are worried about losing their gimmes.

Guess I didn't really answer the question.
Tough one to answer if you look at our own history - you know Boston Tea Party and all. But, we did start out slow and tried all kinds of discussion first.
If some group is going to do this it should be directed at non-human, related government stuff - not just randomly smashing cars and such.
So... violent protest or even revolution in principle gotta say yes. Violent protest that is nothing more meaningful than a temper tantrum (I'll hold my breath) the I have to say No.

Sounds a lot like the Libs' reactions to the U. S. Presidential Election in 2000 and the Libs' reactions to the election of a Conservative President in Mexico in 2006!
Note to "bossbackocd" and "Think4Yourself": Historically, the Boston Tea Party participants were all practicing Masons!

Here's the deal - you do whatever you want, as long as it doesn't harm anyone, or doesn't destroy something that doesn't belong to you.
People who can't be civil should be punished accordingly. If it's something minor, I wouldn't say jail is mandatory, but at least fines and retribution are in order. Some people who have a history of things like this should definitely go to jail along with those who do something mammoth.
Doesn't matter what they're protesting, you don't have to risk peoples lives to protest.

in the item, it stated that "Police pronounced the protesters have been a mix of left-wing extremists and adolescents vandals without sparkling political reason." No sparkling political reason. you have violent nut situations on the two sides - the aryan usa varieties are evoked in the some distance suited area. the factor is that in case you attempt to assign the habit of a few idiots to the entire college of theory you will continuously be incorrect. staggering try even with the incontrovertible fact that, in case you hold it up you would be able to get to be enormously much as good via fact the Radio Idiots at whipping human beings up over 0.5 truths and insinuations. EDIT My factor stands, the left claims to be approximately peace and love and has violent nut situations; the main suitable claims to be compassionate and spiritual and has violent nut situations. What do the nut situations would desire to do with the ordinary philosophy?

I have three words - Boston Tea Party.
Followed by the "shot heard 'round the world."
Not a comment on France. Just an answer to your question. Depends on the circumstances.

No it isnt and yes they should. I love how liberals are vehemntly anti-war, except when it comes to conservatives. Then they feel the need to wage war against them instead of our countries enemies. And trashing cities is no way to respond to politics just like rioting is no way to respond to your team winning or losing a game in sports.

They should be arrested, tried & if convicted punished appropriately. Destruction of property (private ot public) is wrong, That's why we have the right to PEACABLY assemble.

Looters and vandals and arsonists need to all be arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. No excuses, no exceptions. Ghandi and MLK did not pull off or approve of this kind of anarchist crap.
