how to switch between DVI and VGA on an LCD monitor by using the "source" button?

i have an LG Flatron 19'' widescreen L194wt , which has a DVI and a VGA output. i hv connected my xbox 360 to the vga output and my computer to the DVI output. The computer is default display for the monitor...

there is a source button available which can be used to switch between the VGA and DVI output.. but whenever i press it, noothing happens.. it does not switch to the 360. please help.

Are you sure that the 360 is producing a valid signal?

Can you try it with a signal fro another PC?

BTW, I hope you mean inputs rather than outputs.
