Ok my computer has a cable which plugs it into a regular TV (its not monitor)
anyways i have plugged it in and whenever windows starts the tv gets flashes on it and when i search for the TV with the NIVIDIA program which came with my graphix card it showed that the TV wasent there but when i searched on the program the TV flashes also.
The tv does not show anything but whenever something happens like the pc trying to connect to the monitor, the tv flashes.
I want to know what is causing the tv just to flash and not show the pc's desktop ect...
Could it be that the wire is broken or something?

Your wire is probably OK. The program that controls the dual video output of the PC or TV output has not been activated.

If the computers TV output is controlled by a separate program run that program to send the computers screen to the TV.

If it does not have a separate program the TV output is controlled by windows through the display option in the control panel .

TV out must be activated before the computer's screen will appear on the TV. The flashes you see during the computers boot up process is windows checking to see what output you have specified, and the flash is that check.
