I know some people still like her, but from what I've seen a LOT of Americans absolutely despise her for the things she did in Vietnam. Has there ever been a celebrity who has been hated as much as her?

There are some that really annoy us (like Rosie O'Donnell) but I can't think of any celebrities who receive nearly as much hatred from Americans as Jane Fonda. Can you think of anyone?

She is pretty hated with the Vietnam era crowd, and with good reason. Like the previous poster said, her actions would be akin to hanging out with Osama bin Laden and all his little cronies and telling them she supported their actions. I wish celebrities would learn (Angelina Jolie and the Dixie Chicks included) that no one gives a s hit about their political opinions.

For Heather,

She basically went to Hanoi during the height of the war and apologized/condemned what America was doing to the North Vietnamese.

Imagine if Sheryl Crow (or some other semi popular celeb with a political opinion) went and found Osama Bin Laden in the caves of Pakistan and pronounced that flying planes into the world trade center was justified?

Perhaps Paul Newman from the GOP side (he was on Nixon's original enemies list), but certainly no one seems to attract the lightening like Jane still does.

Rosie is merely loud and obnoxious, but the trip to North Vietnam in 1971 will always dog Jane's steps

While Jane is definitly #1 in my book, the way O.J tries profiting off his wife's murder stirs up a lot of anger in my blood. I love how he vowed to find the killer yet spent over 200 days on the golf course last year. What an A.S.S
