No. The qualifications of getting a gift on mothers day is that you have to be a mom. Wife Day is Valentines.

No. he should not buy a gift to his wife on mom's day, unless he has money coming out of his ears. Buying gifts for her birthdays and anniversaries should be enough. He in fact should buy a gift for his own mom. Stick to the true meaning of mom's day.

It would be nice, usually the dad buys the gift for the kids to give to their mom. The wife knows the kids have no money so it is obviously from the husband.

My hubby gets me something for mother's day to thank me for being a good mom to the 3 of our children. He takes the kids shopping and sometimes they buy or make something together and sometimes I get seperated gifts(a macaroni neckalce/braclet combo and then a nice massage certificate from hubby). I think its a nice gesture, I would be mad if I did not at least get a card saying"thankx for being a great mom to our kddos, hun"

I love my mother, but my wife is the mother of my daughters and so she is therefore the most important person in my life who is a mother. I always get my wife a gift for Mother's Day. My mom usually gets an email, poor thing.

I certainly hope that wife is NOT his Mom. That gets a little kinky!
I have always bought my wife a Mother's Day Card on that special day. She is the mother of our children and always will be.
ps........She also buys me a Father's Day card.

If he chooses to do so then great but it should not be EXPECTED.
When we take the word "expect" out of our vocabulary we are grateful for each and every thing that we do receive.
If she is the mother of his children then, in theory, he should help them to get something for their mom. Even if it is a homemade card.

I think it's appropriate yes. If she has mothered his children, it's one way for him to show his appreciation for her role as a mother. Someone mentioned Valentine's Day is wife's day... While this might be a good day to celebrate romance... it does nothing to acknowledge her parenting skills. By all means get the wife something for mother's day if she is mother to your children!
