ive been given a narra tree last week. its about 12 inches high now. i have already wired and placed it in a bonsai pot but im not sure if i can trim the branches at an early stage. also, what is the best style for narra trees (pterocarpus indicus)? thanks!

Wait a few weeks between each thing you do to your bonsai. Not unlike other plants they will go into shock if you do to much too soon. And wait a few more weeks to feed it after everything you do to it. And water it! Watch so the roots don't dry out but don't over water either.

Pruning is key in keeping bonsai aesthetically pleasing.
