Cause they would loose their "spot" when they go to cash it and even WORST, they would be found out for the PHONEYS THAT THEY ARE WHEN THEY SHOW THEIR LICENSE AND SHOW THAT THEY REALLY HAVE A BIG BEAUTIFUL HOME ON THE UPPER WEST SIDE!

it was a very sweet gesture, but they probably wouldn't be able to cash it. No bank account, Id. I used to live on the streets when i was a teen, and I know that some people in that situation are also worried about going into banks. They see you and automatically judge you. Even if you have ID or an account some people assume the check is stolen. Its really cruel for people to judge... but unfortunatly it happens.
great gesture though. I wish i knew more people like you, back then.

Because they want a fast fix, and if they have to wait for the check to be cleared, they may just go insane. This is sad, for people like us really want to help, but not if it is for purchasing cigarettes, and the like.
