Where do those little Carnival Goldfish really come from. I am sure by now they have a little Godlfish farm to keep them in stock but where are they native too?

Goldfish are native to Asia, but you are right to little one's at carnivals are bred by large fish farms.

Yeah my heart goes out to the poor little things. They should stop giving them away. Those little fish are born to die.

I used to raise goldfish and sometimes I would even buy the "feeder goldfish" to give them a safe life. Most of my goldfish lived for many years.

Goldfish are not "native"to any where. They are a selectively bred strain of carp,that was created and refined in China a few thousand years ago. They were "old hat" to the Chinese when Marco Polo got there.

they are native to Asia. Most of the goldfish farms ive heard about are either in asia or the southern US like florida.
