My girl and I believe she was pregnant. She had alot of symptoms, cravings, bloating, sense of smell went crazy, sore breasts etc. We bought a test and it said negative. We thought it might be too early in the game for it to show up. She insisted she was pregnant, I agreed. A week later on the day her period was going to show up she took one in the morning. Negative result. She could not understand this so she went out and said I will take one last one. It went positive within 5 seconds of taking it. A week of her being stressed went by and she didn't go see the doctor yet. She took one last test to confirm it and it came up negative. 2 days later her period came. Has anyone heard of anything like this. She is supposed to be going to the doctors today. What are the odds she is in fact pregnant? I know only the doctor will be the one with the final say, but that positive test went positive for a reason right? (She is not on any medication at all by the way.)

They do have faulty tests and sometimes it will show positive when in fact she isn't pregnant.

I would say she isn't.

well it sure sounds to me like u both really are wanting to be preg. so i would suggest, go to the Doc, see what happends. If she is then great. If she is not preg, then go home and start the fun of trying to get preg. That is if u are both in a stable relationship and old enough to be able to care for this baby in everyway possible. Children are hard work and expensive, so use wise judgement in planning. Also i do know that sometimes there is a lil inplantation bleeding. that is when the egg attaches its self to the wall of the uterus. so depending on the amount of bleeding she had (she should know the difference) it could have been that. Other wise i would say that the positive test she took was a dud since she had a neg and had her "period" after a pos. Good luck and God Bless. I hope everything works out the way u desire. Remember: having a baby is a huge deal so use wise judgement.

Yep! It's totally possible that she is still pregnant. The thing about EPT's is they are relying on hormone levels and some people dont have very high hormone levels or they drink too much water and it dilutes it... But there is no such thing as a false positive! So weather or not she miscarried she WAS prego.

But its not uncommon to have 1 or two periods after conception!

A blood test is the best way to tell if she still is, or go get 10 EPT's from the $ store and take one every morning when she gets up as this is the best time for them to work correctly.

It is possible that she took the test a little early to tell. It is possible to get a reading as early as 10 days before the period IF the chemical levels are high---indicating a multiple pregnancy. However, many pregnancies do not progress and it is not uncommon that a woman can spontaneously abort and never even know that she was pregnant to begin with unless she is trying to get pregnant and is very intune with her body. Usually it takes a very mature woman to know these things. If her period started, and there is a negative reading, chances are that this is what happened.

She could still be pregnant or she had an early miscarraige. Some women have some bleeding in early pregnancy. It can be normal unless accompanied by severe pain. If in fact, she was pregnant and had an early miscarraige, there must have been a reason for it. I've had that happen to me before and it is tough to deal with. SHe will get pregnant when she is meant to. Have faith and hope for the best.

it might want to characterize something. With being pregnant that's tricky to inform even if something is thoroughly regularly occurring or if it is going to bring about miscarriage. you've fairly some issues which will be causing the bleeding. some women people bleed the entire time they are pregnant and performance completely regularly occurring healthful little ones. My suggestion will be to work out your widespread practitioner basically to be certain what is going on. also, attempt to get as a lot mattress relax as conceivable. If there's a toddler in there nevertheless your widespread practitioner will maximum probably proscribe mattress relax to you. i'd pass to the emergency room to positioned your concepts comfortable in the adventure that your widespread practitioner isn't attainable they're going to safeguard you. sturdy success.

Not all tests are accurate. The most accurate test would be a blood test.
