I already have. Being happy and being content are not the same thing... happiness is a feeling of "joy", while contentment is a feeling of being "full". My life is full, and I have many joyful moments. So I have realized both, actually, lol. ;)

yes it does exist, as does intense love and laughter... and so on. I just lost the expectation to experience it continually. I think that every now and again these good feelings come along and stay for an hour, a week, a month, a year, a day, five minutes... Since I have realized it is the Móments I need to look for, I have never again been disappointed when the rainbow disappeared again.... and before I really thought that life wasn't fair, but now... I just enjoy every good moment intensely... and that gives a deep level of contentment in the rest of my life too, even when I am in distress somehow. :)

You have to understand who you are first to find contentment. Through tribulations and hardship i have found contentment. Things can always be worse, so be content in knowing where your next meal is and not having to look over your shoulder everywhere you go. You live in a land of opprotunity. You have people you can depend on and you have people that love you, as i do.

if you live life, be content, one day you will die.

I can get to a level of contentment I am pretty damn happy with (but it's a long way off). It depends how you define 'true' contentment. I think it's possible to get to a level where I am content with who I am but not necessarily with what is happening around me.

I know that once I have my own kids, I will be truly content. I have been wanting kids since I was 6 and the time is coming closer. I am so ready!

I do not believe that the mere fact of existence comes with the assurance of emotional fulfillment or personal success. So "contentment" must be sought at a level of our being that is deeper and much more mysterious than these expectations.

Define contentment! To me it means to be at peace with myself and to be happy in whatever circumstances I find myself to be in, This does not mean that I want less than I have at any given time, but that I will make the best of any situation.

No, we as human beings are never satisfied. Later, when we're older or in a worse position then we realized that we asked life for too much. But no, I don't believe in true contentment. I know I'm always asking for more, when I'm happy in one area another is sad and so on.

80% of the time I am content. Am I ecstatic? no. I'm human and it seems like we all want more possessions, want to be thinner, prettier, want a newer car, bigger house, want a good looking passionate partner...and on and on... But at a point in your life you accept life as it really is, not as the media wants you to think it should be. Don't stop you from looking and thinking though, but if we would all stop and think of what we DO have instead of what we DON'T have we might be a little more appreciative.

Well true contentment is where you want to find it and what you believe where it's at. But to me true contentment is who or what makes your day go better. Also you should be truew to yourself always and be happy and contented. But evreyone will find what makes them content. But all you have to do si listen to your heart and soul and you will find it.
