I have not seen a choice in materials used for SS sinks. I always go by the gauge stainless thay are made of. Cheaper sinks are 22 gauge while the better ones are 18 gauge. This is the thickness of the material. Most of the better ones also have a sprayed on sound deadener. Pots and pans made of stainless go by the amounts of material used. Good stainless pans are 18/10.
