I'm using Windows XP Home, and the network is at the top of my Preferred Networks. I disconnected from the network, which changed it from Automatic to Manual, and now I can't see how I would change that back. There is a setting within the connections properties that says 'Connect when this network is in range' but that changes it to On Demand.

Basically any change to the system should regenerate the automatic.. SO change the SSID and then connect to it. You are now back to automatic.

Two options.

1. Delete the properties for this network and recreate it. You'll do it in the same screen that you're in. Make sure you know the settings, WEP or WPA, Encryption, etc. You can also delete it and then do View Available Wireless Networks and set it up that way, which should move it to first on the list, and also have it be connect automatically.

2. The other option is to delete the other wireless networks from the list and that should make it automatic. However, I think the first option is the best.
