As far as resources from the land: Coal, Zinc, Phosphates, and a handful of various smaller mineral deposits. Cotton, soybeans, dairy, cattle, sheep along with other generalized farming. As far as industrial resources, there are four major cities with large industrial areas: Memphis, Nashville, Knoxville, and Chattanooga. There is also an abundance of rivers that have been harnessed to produce hydroelectricity. Nashville is also a major tourist spot, home to and heart of the country western music industry.

Mining is basically for stone and zinc. Tennessee leads the U.S. in zinc production.

It's manufacturing industries include are chemicals and related products, foods, electrical machinery, primary metals, automobiles, textiles and apparel, and stone, clay, and glass items. It is also big in aluminum.

Tourists also go to Tennessee - Nashville and the blues and jazz of Memphis.
