Yes, also there are foods like watermelon, canteloupe, cucumbers, you can eat to help reduce swelling. Its kind of odd that its the watery ones that do this, but if you search on something like -pregnancy swelling foods - you'll find the list.

I'm 32 weeks and have had this particular problem since I was about 10 weeks.
It's nothing to worry about, as long as your blood pressure stays low. If you suddenly get swelling in your face or puff up like a balloon, call your doctor imediately. Also, if you press your leg just above the ankle (quite hard) and when you take your finger away it leaves an indent that doesn't fade away you should call your doctor.

Put your feet up whenever you get a chance, level with your hips. Drinking lots of water can help your body process the excess fluid (yes, I know that doesn't make much sense but it works).
Also, try a cool bath. If you spend quite a long time relaxing in a cool bath the fluid is forced out of the tissues and back into circulation, then is processed and expelled. You'll need to go to the toilet quite frequently.

Avoid tight, strappy and high-heeled shoes. They hurt!
Flat shoes are best and I am now wearing only ugg boots because everything else is too uncomfortable.

Yes, as long as your not seeing "floaties", are dizzy or light headed, and you swell in your hands and face aswell, these are signs of preeclampsia, which is very serious. But it sounds like your having normal swelling, which is probably due to the fact that it's getting warmer. Try taking short breaks throughout the day and cutting back on salt. Good luck!

Hi... First Congrats on your pregnancy... Yes it is normal for yout ankles to get swollen. The best thing is to keep them elavated. At night try to put an ice pack to reduce it a little. It works for me. I hope this helps!!!

Keep your feet elevated and drink more water.
If the swelling persists or spreads go see your dr to make sure your not starting pre-e. But for the most part swelling is a normal part of pregnancy that comes and goes.

Drink a lot of water and try to elevate your feet. If working, try to prop them on a box or something under your desk. If it doesn't improve, call your doctor... I had toxemia with first pregnancy and my ankles swelled to the size of my calves...
