It's a bit late to give him a 'pass'. His alcoholism and bigoted outburst have already cost him. He has apologized and quite clearly, he does not believe a that a proper and gracious human being is entitled to do and say the things he did, even if it is a reflection of his true and unguarded feelings.

So for that, his apology should be accepted and he should be forgiven by those he offended. But that does not require anyone to restore their lost admiration, pay to see his movies, or work with him. That will happen or not as he plays out the next phase of his life.

I think most people have racial reservations. He made the mistake of getting wasted and letting his mouth run away. He has the opinion that Jews cause wars. Doesn't make him Heinrich Himmler. Doesn't mean that he hates them with utter passion. Just like the whole Don Imus thing.

Stupid where we are going with this racial oversensitivity. It's only going to cause more friction and mistrust.

No matter what race, religious belief I've always hear "pass" exactly what does this "pass" mean? Alcoholic consumption does let the truth be told. But its not right to desecrate what one beliefs or prejudices are.So know one should get a pass because it will get lost, crumpled and disrespected.

Since I fully and firmly believe in Freedom of Speech -

Yes he should get a pass!

Thank God we still have people here in this country that stand up and say what they feel!

And don't have to be ashamed about it!

Yes he should... I mean c'mon! they're Jews! everyone picks on them! He was drunk anyway. He probably watched too much southpark when he said that.
