al sharpton is often a hypocrite (i'm not a fan of his at all), but his quote was taken slightly out of context... anyways, he's right about mormons not having the same beliefs as christians. on the surface they may seem to be just another ordinary protestant denomination, but mormonism is a very strange religion. mormons have often changed some of their beliefs to adapt & fit in with the current mainstream cultural climates of the moment, which is a pretty weak & shady thing for a religion to do; but i suppose they've had little choice but to do so, 'cause they've had a creepy crazy history & belief system. i don't believe that todays mormons are racist though, and al sharpton shouldn't label romney a racist. i also don't think he needs to apologize to anyone, just because his beliefs about mormons offend some people. everyone can make up their own minds, and believe whatever they want to believe. it's ridiculous to have to apologize to someone everytime they're offended. we could all apologize to each other all day long forever, but people aren't always going to agree with each other, so we need to just accept that & move on. agree to disagree & leave it at that. i'm a christian republican, & i could easily get offended every day. so what. people need to grow up & quit being cry babies.
by the way, i could vote for romney even though our religious beliefs are different, because i think he's one of the top few candidates running. i like rudy g. the best so far though, but i really hope fred thompson will run

Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are doing more harm than good. Both pretend to be civil rights advocates, but neither of them are doing anything to further the cause. Calling everyone a racist, and crying foul every time a minority is a victim only gives minorities a crutch to use for failure. Its a pity.
I don't think being a minority makes you a victim of anything except numbers. The only things I can think of that are truly discriminatory are things like the United ***** College Fund, Jet Magazine, Black Entertainment Television, and Miss Black America. Try to have things like the UnitedCaucasianCollege Fund, Cloud Magazine, White Entertainment Television, or Miss White America; and see what happens...Jesse Jackson will be knocking down your door.
When 70% of the people who get arrested are black, in cities where 70% of the population is black, that is not racial profiling; it is the Law of Probability.
I am sick of "Political Correctness." I know a lot of black people, and not a single one of them was born in Africa; so how can they be "African-Americans"? Besides, Africa is a continent. I don't go around saying I am a European-American because my great, great, great, great, great, great grandfather was from Europe. I am proud to be from America and nowhere else

Rev?, Al Sharpton is a hateful, malicious, racist whose primary goal is to spread hate and divide the nation to profit himself. The best thing he could do for this Country and the blacks in particular is to be committed to a mental institution.
He is stirring up hatred and distrust between the races where there was once total caring, understanding and respect.
He is doing people of his own race and this Country a great harm to satisfy his own ego.
A Martin Luther King he is not. Rev. King would be so ashamed in Sharpton and Jackson. May he rest in peace. He was a great man and I hate to see Sharpton and Jackson undo all he fought and died for.

Can't we just put them both in a room together and let them fight it out? I mean, no one really cares, do they?

He is as racist and prejudice as anyone. But he uses the color of his skin to make himself the victim of everything.
