I am wondering why you are forcing her to have this baby. If she doesn't want it who will raise it? Do you think that if she just gives birth maybe she will want it? If you are worried she will try to cause harm to the unborn baby she will likely cause herself harm too. She is already suffering from depression and this situation can only make things worse for her.Think about the consequences. Sometimes harder decisions need to be made. I wouldn't recommend she keep the pregnancy. Please take a look at all options, and allow her to make her own choices. The only safe thing she could do would be to schedule an abortion through a clinic. There would be no other way for her to terminate this pregnancy without putting her own life at risk. Do you want to lose your sister?

If you feel your sisters emotional problems are so severe that she might hurt herself or the baby then maybe someone should stay with her throughout the pregnancy to "keep an eye on her" and give her the support and encouragement she needs.
Has she actually threatened to harm herself or baby? If she has, you need to contact a professional asap.
Has anyone checked to make sure the medication she's on is safe for pregnancy? She might need a change in prescription.
My heart goes out to you. I know this must be very worrisome for you. Pray for your sister every day.

I have never had a miscarriage and I don't know anyone that has had one. Have you tried looking on google for some results on what can cause one?
Make sure you get her meds checked out. Some depression meds aren't safe for pregnant women to take. You can also always talk to her doctor and explain everything to them. They will need to know about it anyway so they can keep a close eye on her to.
If things get to bad you might need to check her into a psych center but I dont' think things will be that bad.
Once she feels her baby or hears the heart beat or sees her baby on the ultrasound she might do a 360. She just might surprise you.
Good luck and hope all works out with your sister and her little one.

hi i have heard that taking a lot of pain killers can cause harm to the baby and also alcohol but they dont always work to the full extent of miscarriage thats why in pregnancy midwifes and doctors will tell you not to take anything other than paracetamols, hope this has helped a little and please keep an eye on your sister, prehaps this isn't the time for her to have children while she is in the state you say she is i would also seek medical advice so you are aware of the facts of what does actually cause miscarriage.

I am not for termination, but you and your family cannot force her to have the baby, if she is far along then maybe you guys can discuss your concerns with her doctor, I wish you guys luck with this, and I hope your sister feels better, sometimes the hormones make people say crazy things just be there for her and try to be supportive with what ever choice she makes.

If she continues to take the anti-depressants, they could make her miscarry. Also, laxatives can cause a miscarriage as well, so don't let her take them.
