First of all, not buying gas on the 15th will just force you to buy gas on the 14th or the 16th.

Second of all, there is no way everyone can avoid buying gas on the 15th.

Third of all, gas prices will not drop as a result.

If you want to have a real protest of gas prices, then don't buy gasoline for the whole WEEK starting May 15th. Then maybe it might work.

I suggest a read of the two resources posted above. It is false, gas did not drop to 36 cents in 1997 as the result of anything, and not buying gas on a specific date, even with 100% participation (impossible to get) would have no effect over the month total.

This has been around since 1999 with various predicted losses to the oil companies all the way up to 4 billion. And of course the oil companies wouldn't even notice. It's not like every gas station turns in what they make every day to the oil company, the only ones who might notice would be the station attendants.

Stop and think for a minute. If you fill up on the average 3 times in a month, is the total going to change because you fill on on the 14th or 16th instead of the 15th?

Thanks for the info!

I'm going to wait to fill up until May 15 and buy all my gas on that day. Hopefully some store owner will be nervous enough about this plan that he'll lower prices in the morning, and I can get a deal.

If it annoys some of you silly spammers, well, then that's a bonus.

I'm sure not going to wait for May 16, when all the May 15 "boycotters" go in and fill up, and I have to wait in the line.

I don't plan on buying any that day. I keep running into people that say it won't make any difference though. I don't see what it can hurt . Gas prices seem to change minute by minute anyway.
It will not force ME to buy gas the day before or after. I am not working so I can just stay at home.

I got this message from a friend and I was going to post it here, but I wasn't sure if it was allowed.....and I was thinking that since y/a is seen by people all over the world, it could end

I don't drive, but I hope everyone goes along with this idea!!!
