i been told to take the car to autozone and have them remove the engine light with a machine or something, is this true?

Yes erase the code but write down the code numbers and freeze frame data first. Many times mechanice also remove the keep alive memory. If the light turns back on report back to us.

You can clear the code (engine light) by disconnecting the battery and turning the ignition switch on for 30 seconds.
Autozone will not always clear the code for you.

Go to autozone they will put it on a machine for free and they will tell you what else is wrong with the car.

Have you tried resetting the computer? You can do this by disconnecting the positive battery terminal (for a few minutes to be safe) - reconnect and see if that helped. Good luck...

Now that you have the problem repiared you have to clear the computer of that code.

Make sure they run another test on the car then you'll know if that was your problem

anytime you replace a electrical part or sensors, you may have to reset your codes......
