Keep in mind that my Bachelor's degree was in finance and finding a decent finance job has been very difficult for me. So, now I'm thinking about switching to accounting.

Sure... just make sure that you are going to satisfy the requirements for sitting for the CPA this way. No time like the present, and meanwhile, you can use your degree-in-progress status to secure a job (if you do your masters part-time).

Good luck!

I got my BS degree in accounting with a minor in business admin in dec. 2000. I had tons and tons of trouble finding a job. In fact, the job I have now doesn't even require a degree, although it is helpful. So really an AAS would be ok for my job as an office manager (but this is a small small office-less than 15 employees total). I have gone back to school now for my MBA, but have chosen an emphasis this time in HR. Unless you want to become a CPA or Auditor, I would not go with Accounting, hence that is my reasons for not getting my MBA in accounting. Good luck.

I hadn't heard that there was a shortage of finance jobs, so maybe you need some guidance on how to approach the job market, rather than another degree. Even in accounting, if you interview poorly, you may continue to have trouble. See if your school's placement office offers services to alumni, and do things like practice interviews with them, if possible.
