It is still too cold cold to have the windows open at night... but when the summer comes the windows will be open 24/7.. this is a pretty safe town that I live in... I can't even remember the last time I locked the door to my car or house..

We live in a ranch house, so I'm afraid to sleep with the windows open. It would just be too easy for someone to cut the screen and get in. If we had a second story I would be fine with windows open on the second floor.

When I lived in a 2nd-story apartment I always slept with my windows open in the summer. I recently moved into a 1st-floor apartment and am very reluctant to open my windows, even during the day, as I am scared about an intruder. I really miss it though!

Windows open. I live in a VERY good neighborhood. BUT even if some scum were to taek advantage of my open windows, my dogs would take advantage of the scum coming in. I have five dogs so I am very comfortable leaving the windows open. I even remember like ten years back a neighbors house being broken into. They actually had to break his door down to get in. MY HOUSE windows WIDE OPEN, and they never even tried. Good dogs.

Occasionally you have to sleep with the windows open, but being on the 3rd floor or above is good.

Windows always open. Feel very safe because we are 6 floors up and unless you are spider man you cannot get anywhere near our very large balcony. Never shut the windows even when we are out.

i love sleeping with the windows open accept on hot summer nights ,i can't do too much of that as i will be sleeping with the mosquitoes too...

If I am hot I would open them fully. I am not going to be frustrated by the heat. I already have trouble sleeping.
