In one of my medical books that I read about pregnancy, it gave a study performed in England that showed that boys were slightly more "problematic" - meaning very slight increase in interventions and possibly a bit more painful. This is also mentioned in my book written by the Mayo Clinic.

The reason given is that statistically boys tend to be larger babies than girls. Meaning, the root cause is the size of the child, not really the gender.

Nope, they all hurt the same. It does make a difference though, which way your baby is facing. If your baby's face is toward your back - which is most common, you will feel your contractions mostly in the front and down in the pelvic area. If your baby is facing towards your front, the pressure of the back of the head will be on your lower back - and you will have back labor. This is often considered more painful and requires counter-pressure and back massage to help with managing the pain.

All labours are different. Whether you have boys or girls each labour and pain will not be the same. Labour pains and places depend on medical factors such as previous births, position of baby, length of labour etc. You cannot predict the sex with type of labour pain. XX

When you are in labor you are in no condition to take notes.

Plus you would have to have a boy and a girl and be alert enough to notice the difference.

So I am guessing if there are any differences, no one notices.
