I started an anatomy and physiology class, anyone have suggestions on how to overcome the fear and anxiety of seeing a dead person? I mean I have SEVERE anxiety over this, but love anatomy and physiology.... help please! I got sick just standing next to the body, while it was still covered with the bag.

I've been there, done that. You can talk and reason with yourself as much as your like, but nothing really prepares you for the shock of seeing it. For me, it was the smell of the lab that hit me first, that chemical smell never leaves your mind and well, to this day, it's still fresh in me...
I think you really do have to remember that these cadavers were once living, fully functioning members of society who gave up their physical body so that others may learn from them... Don't be afraid, this is you, this is what you are like inside... are you afraid of yourself, your own body?
I started small... say, an extremity... don't start with the torso or the head, as these images tend to be a tad more frightening.. then when you are more used to it... you can then see and touch as much as you like. It all becomes incredible... fascinating...

I am taking an Anatomy and Physiology course at a community college in the SF Bay Area. We have special ties to UCSF and I have seen human prosections and a whole cadaver. Both the prosections and cadavers have been dissected.

As someone who will one day be a classroom cadaver, try to think of it this way: I will no longer be there, it will just be an interesting collection of meat, bones, and organs by then, much like the average butcher counter, just not saran wrapped. It will have been my knowing choice to become a cadaver so that in death I can still be of use in helping people learn about the human body. I will not be getting up to grab anyone, I will not be haunting anyone, I will not be there at all. The arrangement of meat, bones and organs is simply my last gift.
I am sure your cadaver had very similar feelings about it.
